Product design

This is how I would redesign the confirmation modal on a Web3 platform

This is a very important screen. People are about to hand you their money, so it's where their trust in you is either made or broken. A lot of platforms fill up the entire screen with poor visual hierarchy and poor information architecture.

What you'd see right now

Right now, you'd see a typical Web3 platform with a confirmation modal that just shows the gas fees and the contract address. That isn't human readable, and it isn't good UX copy.

Optimise your screen for the user profile that's going to use the platform

A lot of the people confirming a transaction aren't developers. They want to know what they're giving and what they're getting. The screen should be built around that, in that order.

Start with the outcome

Instead, start with the outcome. Let the user see exactly what they're doing: you send 500 USDC, and you get about 499 DAI.

Put the technical details below it

It's important that you put the technical details below it, for people who are more technically inclined and want to check them. Nothing gets hidden. It's just in the order people need it to make the decision.
