About the project

  1. Role: Lead Designer at Nifty League — product design, public pages, marketing surfaces, game dashboard, player systems, asset logic, credit-system UX and interactive prototyping.
  2. What it is: Nifty League was a Web3 gaming ecosystem built around competitive play, player-owned assets, rewards, NFTL utility and the broader Niftyverse. The design work had to make wallet connection, game entry, player assets, credit logic, marketplace actions and dashboard management feel understandable to both crypto-native players and normal gamers.
  3. Outcome context: Nifty League later announced a $5M seed round led by RSE Ventures to expand its NFT gaming metaverse. This case study focuses on the product-design surface area: how the public pages, game dashboard, player economy and prototype flows were structured.

Prototype

  1. Animated flow: The case-study video and GIF are generated from the real clickable prototype screens, showing marketplace discovery, asset detail, rental confirmation, dashboard management, game hub and leaderboard retention, wallet onboarding, failure recovery, settings and mobile surfaces.
  2. Interactive prototype: /prototype/niftyleague/ — a clickable browser prototype built from the UX Pilot File 27 export. The prototype is intentionally structured as a product flow, not a flat gallery: discovery → decision → rental action → management → retention → recovery → mobile.

The product problem

Web3 gaming interfaces can easily collapse into token dashboards: too much jargon, too many disconnected wallet actions, and too little clarity about what the player can actually do next. The core challenge was to make asset ownership, rental utility, rewards, game access and credit logic feel like a gaming product rather than a finance spreadsheet.

The public and product surfaces needed to explain the value of the ecosystem, let players discover assets, support decisions around rarity and yield, and then carry them into gameplay, marketplace or dashboard actions without losing trust.

What I designed

  1. Public and marketing pages: Designed entry surfaces that framed Nifty League as a game-first ecosystem while still communicating the ownership, reward and marketplace mechanics behind it.
  2. Game dashboard: Designed the player command center for balances, rewards, active leases, inventory, activity history and the player actions that connect assets to utility.
  3. Credit-system logic: Worked through the interaction model for credits, rewards and player progression so the system could be understood as a game loop instead of an abstract token mechanic.
  4. Asset and marketplace flows: Designed the surfaces where players compare assets, inspect metadata, understand multiplier/yield signals, and choose rental or ownership actions.

Flow and interaction model

  1. Marketplace to decision: The user starts with a browsable asset marketplace, filters by game/category and moves into a detailed asset view with traits, rarity, yield history and rental history.
  2. Decision to action: The asset detail page separates fast rental from bidding, while the dashboard supports staking, lease management, reward claims and inventory review.
  3. Action to recovery: Wallet onboarding, transaction failure and 404 states were included so the prototype covers more than the happy path.

Extended surfaces

  1. Game hub: A game-specific ecosystem page shows economy health, rentable assets, participation, staking prompts, recent leases and top earners.
  2. Leaderboard: A social competition surface makes player performance, global rankings and reward chasing visible.
  3. Settings and wallet onboarding: Account setup, public profile, notification preferences, privacy and connected-wallet controls give the product enough structure to feel like a complete application.

Impact

Worked with the Nifty League team as lead designer to design gaming dashboards, gamification systems, player assets, credit-system logic and marketing/public pages for a Web3 gaming platform that later announced a $5M seed round.

The design contribution sat across the full customer-facing experience: the story that brought players in, the dashboard that helped them understand what they owned, the product logic that shaped credits and rewards, and the interaction flows that made Web3 actions feel usable.
